  • Course Tipology: Expert
  • Level: Intermediate
  • Price: € 249.00

Description

Travel undertaken by governments and institutions, both in the exercise of their functions and sometimes in their leisure time, have been identified and classified within the Governmental and Institutional Travel and Tourism (GITT) sector, due to the inherent characteristics that determine the actions to be undertaken for their adequate planning and organization, and which are justified according to the status, rank and role of the members of each Delegation.

The integration of hospitality and the ‘Governmental and Institutional Travel and Tourism’ (GITT) sector, which refers to government and institutional travel, allows the configuration of a unique training action through which students are positioned regarding hospitality applied to governmental and institutional clients. The course therefore offers students a privileged position in the sector, as it addresses the main issues related to covering the needs of this type of delegation.

Learn about the principles that help to meet the demands of this sector, as well as their impact on the usual operations in, for example, the reservation and contracting of services‘check-in’ and ‘check-out’, or baggage handling, among others. The student will be able to know the particularities of Hospitality applied to the GITT sector, especially in what is related to the incorporation of Revenue Management techniques. Also contextualizes the most common operational and functional aspects in procedures related to governmental and institutional clients, such as reservation management, invoicing procedures, different payment formulas, etc.

Through this course, the student will be able to understand the origin and evolution of the sector, as well as the main characteristics of the GITT in Hospitality, identifying, thus, those particularities that differentiate it notably from the rest of tourist or travel typologies.
