Governmental and institutional travels, both in the exercise of the functions of the governments and, on certain occasions, in their leisure, have been identified and classified within Tourism in the sector known as 'Governmental and Institutional Travel and Tourism' (GITT). This is due to the fact that their inherent characteristics determine the actions to be taken for their proper planning and organization, which are justified in accordance with the status, rank and role of the members of each Delegation.


With this course, students will be able to identify the main concepts of the GITT sector, its history and most important characteristics, as well as the International GITT Standard that is the basis for the standardization, professionalization and regulation of the quality of processes, protocols, requirements and services specific to the Governmental and Institutional Travel sector.
